Feb. 16, 2007 - Westerville Homes for Sale and Sold

This is the Westerville Corporation Limit... only properties that are really and truly in the City of Columbus (or at least were listed as City of Westerville in the MLS.(multiple listing service) .... there are some mistakes occasionally but the Columbus Board of REALTORS® MLS has really, really made strides to keep the data accurate.  *

Looks like Westerville is getting healthy faster than some parts of Central Ohio. Healthy as in more normal... not as much of a buyers market as some parts of Central Ohio.  Only 207 properties (single family and condominium) were on the market at the end of January 2007!  A year earlier there there 237 properties available.  Thirty-one Westerville properties sold in January 2007 vs. 26 a year earlier... Average list and sale price for homes in the City of Westerville are slightly lower than they were in January 2006 as you can see in the 6th and 7th rows of the table below but the homes that sold on average were within 3% of list price.    

Average days on market was only up two days over January 2006 for the Westerville homes that closed last month.

* There are neighborhoods with a Westerville mailing address which are not in the City of Westerville.  The Westerville City School district has large areas that are not within the Westerville corporation limit (City of Westerville.)
